How to Log and Edit Meals on Android

Overview

Whether you’re logging meals, creating recipes, or adding custom foods, you can manage everything directly through the Log your meals feature in the Android app.

What to Know

  • Logging meals, recipes, or past entries happens via Today’s plan > Log your meals.
  • You can create and manage custom meals or add new foods when they’re not in Noom’s database.
  • Features appear starting Day 2 of your program—if reset to Day 1, you’ll regain access once you reach Day 2 again.

What to Do

1. Log a Food, Meal, or Recipe

  1. Open Log your meals on the Home screen.
  1. Choose the meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).
  1. Use the search bar to find a food or select from:
    • Saved items
    • Recent meals
    • Scan barcode
    • Browse recipes
    • Create a custom meal
  2. Select an item and adjust the serving size (use the slider or tap Other Units).
  3. Tap Done to log the recipe.
  4. Tap Add More to keep logging or Done in the top right corner of the screen to finish.

2. Log Previously Logged Item

⚠️ Note: You can find recently logged meals in two places within the Track meals task:

Recently Logged Feature

  1. In Log your meals, select meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).
  2. Select My Meals (secondary tab).
  3. You’ll see a list of all recently logged meals organized by the day in which they were logged.

Search Feed

  1. Open the Log your meals, select meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).
  2. You’ll be automatically routed to the search bar function (indicated by a magnifying glass icon). 
  3. Your recently logged meals will be listed in the feed directly underneath the search bar.

3. Log from Recipe Screen

  1. Tap the Success Kit tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Find and tap a Recipes.
  3. Scroll to choose your serving size, then tap + Log this recipe.
  4. Tap Done in the top-right corner.
  5. Tap Done at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Tap Close on the summary screen (if prompted).

4. Add a New Food to Your Personal Database

  1. Tap Log your meals.
  2. Select the meal type (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack).
  3. Use the search bar to type the food name, or scan the barcode. If no match appears, tap:
    • Can’t find it? Let’s add it! (if you searched), or
    • Yes, let’s add it! (if you scanned a barcode)
  4. Tap Calories and enter the calorie amount. (You can skip this if the calorie info isn’t available.)
  5. Tap Log in the top right corner.
  6. If prompted to provide more details:
    • Tap Yes to add info like brand, macros, or serving size, then tap Save
    • or tap Skip to continue without adding more details.
  7. Tap Done in the top right corner.
  8. Tap Done again to save the item to your personal database.

5. Edit or Delete Logged Foods or Meals

  1. Open Log your meals (or via Track More Habits → Meals).
  2. Choose the meal (today or a past day using arrows).
  3. On the review screen, tap X to remove an item or + Add More to edit.
  4. Tap Update/Done, then Close.
